Introducing Your Wolverine Midget Coaches
The 2013-2014 Wilmot Wolverines Midget B/BB team is pleased to announce our base coaching staff for the upcoming season.  Recently selected Head Coach Jeff Gerber will be joined by Assistant Coach Al Bruce and Assistant Coach/Head Trainer Jo Scott.

To find out more about these individuals read on....

Head Coach Jeff Gerber has over 45 seasons of coaching experience in minor hockey, minor softball, and high school football, soccer, hockey and softball.  He has previously coached the Wolverines Atom and PeeWee Girls rep teams, is the Head Coach of the Waterloo-Oxford DSS High School Girls Hockey team, and has coached 6 seasons with the New Hamburg Huskies (most recently the PeeWee A Rep team in 2012-2013 and he was New Hamburg Hockey Rep Coach of the Year in 2011- 2012).  In addition to his extensive coaching background Jeff is also the lead instructor and program founder of the Hockey Canada Skills Academy program at Waterloo-Oxford DSS.

Assistant Coach and Head Trainer Jo Scott is an excellent hockey player in her own right and a dedicated, enthusiastic hockey coach.  She played for the Waterloo Warriors from 2005-2009, played Kitchener Midget AA prior to her university career, and is still active in the game as a Senior A player. Like Coach Gerber she is also an educator and is involved in coaching at Rockway Collegiate and in the community as well.

Assistant Coach Al Bruce is an experienced hockey coach and player.  Al, a goaltender, was a WCSSAA All-Star and spent some time with the Junior B Dutchman back in the day. He has over a decade of coaching experience with the Wilmot Wolverines, New Hamburg Huskies and New Hamburg Heat.  Al was named the New Hamburg Heat Coach of the Year for the 2012 season.

All three coaches share a love of the game and a love of working with young people.  They believe in the value of relationships, commitment, team work and building memories both on and off the ice as the foundation of a strong team.  Al and Jo were both on the staff of last season's Wilmot Wolverines Lower Lakes Championship Bantam rep team.

Further additions to the coaching staff will be determined at the conclusion of the tryout process.
