Wolverine Peewee C team back in the points race.
After suffering their first loss of the season to the Waterloo Ravens, the Wilmot Wolverines Peewee C team played host to the Grand River Mustangs on November 3rd. Grand River was the first to strike in this battle for second place in the division. The Mustangs scored the initial goal of the game in the first period but a mere 25 seconds later Ella Fleming scored for the Wolverines to tie the game at 1. The Mustangs took another lead in the second but with 3:31 remaining in the period Katie Martin tied the game with assists coming from Kate Baumgart and Leah Wagler.

Wilmot had some great scoring chances in the 3rd period but were unable to capitalize. Gillian Knarr made some key saves down the stretch to preserve the 2-2 tie. The Peewee C's have tallied points in all but one game this season and sit tied for second with Grand River at 5 points.  Already this season this team has seen multiple ties with both Twin Centre and Stoney Creek and their record now sits at 0-1-5. The Wilmot Wolverines hope to get in the win column in their next game, Sunday (November 10th) at 12pm in Stoney Creek.
