Second Round for Wolverines
The B-W Feed & Seed Wolverines began their second series in LLFHL play-off action.  The Atom B team swept their first series against Ancaster winning two games straight.  Now, the Wolverines are facing the Cambridge Roadrunners and Wilmot is up one game of the series with a 2-0 win this past Saturday.  Wilmot, at the same time has begun their run for a place at Provincials to be held in Mississauga in April.

The girls have worked hard, and know that talent will only get them so far.  With many strengths, the team is lead offensively by Paige Carter, Jenna Kumpf and Brianna Arends who tirelessly forecheck and fire shots on the net.  Hustler Lauren Bast consistently plays a physical game, taking time and space.  The defensive team of Kayla Schenk, Rayne Bowden, Lindsay Slessor, Bella Davidson and Carson Weiler are tight at the point, and the shots are becoming more of a threat on the net.  The defence is leading the offence, but the backchecking of the forward lines is also awesome.  Hard work and hustle come every game from Sydney Knorr, Paige Jurica, Olivia Lichti, Sierra Egli and Mikayla O'Connell.  Solid goaltending from Emily Jantzi and Alisha Latyn continues to be a plus for the team as well.

In the coming weeks, the Wolverines will continue their series with Cambridge for Lower Lakes play-offs, and will face Waterloo, Kitchener, and Twin Centre in Provincial play downs.  Still a lot of hockey left for these Wolverines and they are up for the task. With a dedicated coaching staff and a solid fan base, the girls can achieve whatever they set their minds to.  Congratulation wishes from our Wolverines to both Team Canada hockey teams on their success in Sochi, and their motivational efforts.  Go Wolverines.
