Wolverines - Silver Second Time in Orillia
B-W Feed and Seed's Atom B Wilmot Wolverines came second to cross town rivals Twin Centre for the second time this year in tournament play.  Wilmot had an exceptional tournament in Orillia and gave it their all but came up short in the final 3-1, one of the goals an empty netter.  In round robin play, the team beat Twin Centre 2-1, lost to North Huron 4-1, and beat Oshawa 5-1 in the semi to move to the final.

Sydney Knorr started the scoring in the final with an amazing goal after a pass out front from Paige Carter and work behind the net from Lauren Bast.  The fans went wild.  Twin Centre clawed their way back late in the second to tie it up. Late in the third Emily Kruger scored again for the Hericanes but the Wolverines never gave up and peppered Katie Lee with shots that just would not find the back of the net.  The empty net goal gave the Hericanes the title, but the Wilmot Wolverines can hold their heads high and be proud of their tremendous team effort.
Highlights of the tournament include phenomenal goaltending from both Alisha Latyn and Emily Jantzi who were focused and determined.  Also, Sierra Egli had a hat trick in the semi final game versus Oshawa with major assists from Knorr and Bast.  Defensive pinching by Bella Davidson and Kayla Schenk was excellent, and the hard work and hustle from Jenna Kumpf and Paige Jurica was commendable.  All in all, the team gave their best effort, did what the coaching staff wanted and kept a positive attitude the entire weekend.  Congratulations to the Wolverines!
