Amazing Tournament
What a great Guelph Tournament!
I just wanted to send a quick congratulations out to all the Novice C girls for a great tournament last weekend.
While we didn't win any of our 4 games, the girls played strong against their competition - North Halton, Belmont, Kanata and Etobicoke. They played so hard and it showed in the few goals that were scored against us.
They even scored a goal against Belmont, thanks to Lexi James! That goal was assisted by Kassia Deep and Sarah Bell.
In the final game on Saturday, the girls tied 1-1 with an unassisted goal by Emma Schweitzer.
Watching the first year Novice girls getting into the corners, forcing the puck and stickhandling up the ice is incredible.
The goaltenders worked hard - thanks Mary and Emily! The rest of the team kept us in the games. Thanks to everyone for making these 4 games so fun for us to watch!
The girls are improving every game they play!
